The cooperation agreements were signed by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Palmira Leitão, and her Serbian counterpart, Husseyn Memitchi.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, to which VerAngola had access, "the agreements will be developed in the areas of preparation of athletes and coaches, institutional cooperation, science and technology applied to sport, sports medicine, fight against doping, sport and inclusion, sports sponsorship, training of sports specialists and staff, support and promotion programs for Paralympic sport and special Olympics, protection of young athletes, promotion of gender and equality in sport, sports education, maintenance of sports facilities, sports programs in schools and universities".
The holder of the Youth and Sports portfolio, according to the note, is accompanied by the presidents of the Angolan Football Federation, Artur de Almeida e Silva, of Handball, José de Amaral 'Maninho', as well as senior staff from the ministry.
