Macon opens first national route to the interior of Bié

Macon will open the first route, at a national level, to the interior of the province of Bié, to be opened in the coming days.

:

On Thursday, Macon's new fleet of buses was presented, with Fernando Vasco, the company's central regional coordinator, taking the opportunity to inform that these vehicles will circulate on the Cuito, Andulo, Nharea, Cuando Cubango sections, as well as on the border with Namibia (through Santa Clara).

In addition, the routes departing from Cuito towards Luanda, Lubango, Quibala, Huambo, Waco Kungo, Namibe and Dondo will also be strengthened, writes Angop.

He also took the opportunity to make it known that the road that connects Cuito to Benguela – closed for more than three years – will also reopen.

Fernando Vasco also mentioned that, regarding new routes, the carrier is carrying out studies to determine the value of each trip and its frequencies.

He also considered that these new itineraries, along with the more than three dozen direct jobs, will also enable the citizens of that province to expand their businesses.

The citizens of that province will also be able to benefit from trucks intended for the transport of various items, along with four buses with more than 40 seats each, writes Angop.

According to Angop, the operator bought 70 new buses, of which 30 are already available to passengers nationwide, in an investment of 9,500,000 dollars.
