Sagrada Esperança demands compensation of 30 million kwanzas to free Depú

This Tuesday, Sagrada Esperança demanded compensation of 30 million kwanzas to definitively release footballer Laurindo Aurélio, known as Depú, who signed a contract with Petro de Luanda.

:

"The direction of Sagrada Esperança drew attention to the observance of the eighth clause of the contract, which provides that the club must be compensated with the value of 30 million kwanzas, in the event of an early request for termination of the contract", said the secretary- club general, Lourenço Cariata, in a press conference.

The manager said that the forward had a one-year contract and that it would end in May 2022, but the athlete requested early termination in March, without observing the eighth clause of the contract.

Lourenço Cariata said that, after the identification of the player's injury, before the announcement of the contractual termination, Sagrada Esperança was making efforts for Depú to travel abroad, where he would undergo surgery, but the athlete refused.

"The athlete Depú refused to continue the medical treatment with Sagrada Esperanca because he already had a commitment with the club to which he is now linked, which guaranteed him to take the treatment abroad", he concluded.

Last week, striker Depú, who signed for Petro de Luanda, was prevented by the Disciplinary Council (CD) of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) from participating in the country's football championship, after a complaint filed by Sagrada Esperança.
