Asked if he will remain as deputy, Chivukuvuku, who ran on the UNITA lists, a party he abandoned in 2012 to form an alternative coalition, the politician replied that he had not yet decided.
"I was elected in 2012 and I didn't stay, I was elected in 2017 and I didn't stay, let's discuss that, time will tell", said Abel Chivukuvuku upon arrival at the National Assembly this Friday, in the company of UNITA President Adalberto da Costa Júnior.
The 90 deputies elected on UNITA's lists, which included militants from other parties and members of society, took office this Friday, although this position was not consensual in view of the rejection of the electoral results by opposition parties.
Abel Chivukuvuku advocated reforms in the state system and the system of government, but above all with regard to the provision of government in social and economic terms to citizens.
"What has to be reforms so that we do not continue to live in a potentially rich country, but with its very poor populations", he advocated.
Asked to comment on the speech by the President of the Republic, who was sworn in on Thursday, along with the vice president, Esperança da Costa, he said that João Lourenço "has no agenda for Angola, he has an agenda of power".
"It's not more than that," he emphasized.
