Tundavala National Stadium welcomes Girabola matches again

The National Stadium of Tundavala will once again host official matches, with emphasis on Girabola. The last time the ball rolled on that pitch was on May 13, 2015. Since then, the infrastructure has been inoperative due to the high state of degradation, which left it unable to host football matches.

However, in 2019, the stadium saw its rehabilitation take shape: a process was started to recover the irrigation system and the grass.

About a year after the rehabilitation, the grass is already ready to be played, having received, this Thursday, the approval by the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), writes Angop.

Administrator Roni Raimundo, who was speaking at the end of an inspection by a FAF technical committee, informed that some work is being done to fill other needs.

Cited by Angop, he indicated that it is still necessary to improve the fire-fighting system, changing rooms and the press stand.

He added that they will strive to "in a short time" have "the problems overcome and the stadium fully functional".
