ANPG's administrator, César Paxe, officially announced the agency's efforts to increase oil and gas exploration in Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) 2021. A new program of standing offers will allow ANPG to negotiate the exploration of petroleum resources available throughout of the year, without the need for an auction announcement.
It is recalled that the Government approved the proposal at the end of August, and the new program of standing offers will allow the concessionaire to proactively promote and negotiate oil and gas concessions, regardless of the rules and regulations of the Concession Allocation Strategy, which was approved by presidential decree 52/19 of 18 February.
Thus, the concessionaire will be able to adopt competitive and robust strategies to attract international investment in the energy sector.
"Investors can contact ANPG to present investment proposals in the oil resources available for exploration in Angola, in a completely transparent and compliant process," explained César Paxe, in a statement that VerAngola had access to.
The permanent offer program will allow the continuity of negotiations between the operators and the concessionaire about the fields where the concession period will expire or about the concessions that were not contemplated in the concession strategy. Under the new program, concessions will remain permanently available for negotiations with potential investors.
At AOG, which ran from 9 to 10 September, ANPG actively promoted Angola as the best market to invest in the energy industry in the post-covid 19 era. , promoting both the company's position as a global energy leader and Angola's position as one of the main hydrocarbon markets, the organization said in a statement.
