The finance minister, in an interview with TPA and quoted by Jornal de Angola, underlined that the measure, which is part of the economic and social relief package for families and companies provided for in the General State Budget (OGE) for the next year, concerns the "replacement of income" of families.
With these measures, the Executive estimates that the expected growth recovery next year will be reflected in the population's life.
However, Vera Daves added that for this to happen, a "more flexible fiscal environment" is needed, where various measures are introduced, such as the reduction of VAT on basic food basket products, among others.
The minister, to paint an expected panorama for next year, stated that "there is a set of fiscal measures aimed at granting economic relief to companies and families." These measures create, in the Government, expectations of generating "more profits for companies, greater motivation to hire, create jobs and, also, a reduction in the prices of products and services that will help families to have access to a set of goods that , in other circumstances, they would not be able to".
The minister said that to ensure that the measures are complied with, the National Authority for Economic Inspection and Food Security will monitor economic agents.
It is intended that "at the end of the day, Angolans will feel that these prospects of higher oil prices and higher oil revenues will help to offset the loss of revenue we will have in the non-oil domain," she said.
