Final analysis of the IMF financing program is being prepared by the Executive

The Secretary of State for Planning, Milton Reis, revealed that the sixth and last analysis of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) financing program is being prepared by the Government.

In this sense, he informed that since last Monday (September 6) a team from the IMF is conducting an online visit. Lasting until September 13, the visit serves so that in partnership with the ministries of Finance, Economy and Planning, Mineral Resources and Petroleum and the National Bank of Angola, the analysis of the Extended Arrangement under the IMF Extended Fund Program may be prepared.

An assessment of the performance of the real sector of the national economy until the first half of this year and prospects for next year, particularly on the performance of the oil, natural gas and non-oil sector are being presented by the Ministry of Economy and Planning on the visit, explained the Secretary of State for Planning, quoted by Angop.

While speaking during the briefing of the Ministry of Economy and Planning, Milton Reis referred that the Ministry is also exposing the activities developed in order to stimulate the elaboration of Public Private Partnerships as well as an overview of the application of the Program of Support to Production, Export Diversification and Import Substitution (Prodesi).

The responsible also mentioned the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Environment Program, informing that the ministry was present in the workshop that debated the organization's goals regarding climate change, writes Angop.

He also took the opportunity to recall that the second phase of the Agro-livestock and Fisheries Census is in progress, asking companies in the agriculture, fisheries and livestock sectors to provide the necessary information to the officers of the National Institute of Statistics.
