Speaking to the Lusa news agency, Joaquim Teixeira said that the strike did not start because of a document entered on Friday, in which the CSMJ called the union for a meeting this Monday for negotiations between the partners, which has been going on until now.
Francisco Teixeira pointed out that if the proposals presented do not satisfy the union, the intention to strike remains.
The union member stressed that they are demanding improvements in working conditions, revision of the regulation of the remuneration statute, entry and promotion, missing subsidies for bailiffs and health insurance.
The list of demands was delivered to the CSMJ in April of this year, but of the nine complaints only one was attended to.
The first phase of the strike, scheduled for 6 to 10 of this month, would cover the courts of first instance.
