Alécia Morais and Rufane Tomas together at Vogue Portugal

Cape Verdean Alécia Morais and Angolan Rufane Tomas are two of the models featured in the latest edition of Vogue Portugal, which joins all other international editions with the theme Hope.

"In these difficult times, Vogue decided to bring together all international editions around this optimistic, humane and forward-looking theme," says Anna Wintour, director of Vogue US, in a statement sent to VerAngola.

Entitled 'Lamento Sertanejo' and entirely inspired by the play 'O Auto da Compadecida', by Ariano Suassuna, the editorial portrays the drama experienced by the people of Northeast Brazil that uses positivity and joy in the fight against social inequalities.

The models, managed by Da Banda Model Management, were photographed by Frederico Martins and dressed by Larissa Marinho, who bet on warm tones and flowery patterns.

Only last August, Alécia was one of the models to appear in the new summer 2020 campaign of H&M and Rufane Tomas in the editorial "(I´ve Got U) Under My Skin", by Portuguese Soul magazine.
