This is the single point of the general assembly scheduled for 10 am at the headquarters of the Order of Physicians in Luanda, according to a statement that Lusa had access to this Tuesday.

In the document, the associates express their displeasure with the performance of Elisa Gaspar who was aggravated "by the recent occurrences", such as the non-alignment with the interests of the class, lack of transparency in the management of the Order's resources and in the presentation of the accounts, and accusations of poor financial management.

On Friday, the weekly Novo Jornal reported that the staff is accused of embezzling 19 million kwanzas and promoting harmful management in the institution, a complaint made by its former cabinet director, Domingos Cristóvão.

Elisa Gaspar stated that the accusations "do not correspond to reality".

The doctors also showed discontent after the staff resigned from the march called by the national union (SINMEA) in honor of Silvio Dala, a pediatrician who died at the beginning of September following a police intervention, and who brought together hundreds of health professionals and elements of civil society in Luanda, the country's capital.

In an interview with TPA public television, Elisa Gaspar informed that the institution she directs would not associate itself with any kind of demonstration in relation to Silvio Dala's death.

"The Order is in solidarity with the family of the doctor, the Order was present at the wake, the Order is sad with the way the news of the doctor's death came out, but a demonstration against whom!? Demonstration to honor the doctor, yes, he worked at the pediatric hospital, the homage should be done at the hospital and not go out on the street and do what [if] you want to do, because there is always a lot of political exploitation and we are doctors, we can't mix with politics," declared the staff.
