ReStart, the program that wants to support female entrepreneurship in times of pandemic

It is called ReStart and is a 100 percent digital program aimed at women entrepreneurs in Angola, who want to re-invent, innovate and accelerate the growth of their businesses in the current context.

:

The initiative, supported by Unitel, follows the company's sponsorship, in May 2019, of FemTech, a training program for female entrepreneurs, which supported more than 20 female entrepreneurs. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the program - which took place in person and in groups - had to be stopped.

In this way, Unitel considered with Acelera Angola and IdeiaLab partners in this segment, a “non-face-to-face” solution as a way to continue the corporate responsibility actions, defined in the scope of female entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.

Thus, over the next three months, ReStart presents itself as an initiative to support women entrepreneurs to restructure their businesses and thus face the challenges caused by the pandemic.

A statement sent to VerAngola explains that the program is divided into three modules and 11 virtual sessions, where participants will have the opportunity to rethink strategies for business growth, personal development and building a network of contacts and sharing.

In this edition ReStart intends to train 30 women, with a focus on growing their business.

Applications for the program are open until September 13, for all women entrepreneurs who have had an active business for at least 18 months, with the application form available at: www.bit.ly/unitelrestart.
