The list of angolan artists is composed by well known names of the angolan public. The nomination table is led by C4 Pedro, followed by Matias Damásio, Anselmo Ralph and the Mobbers.
C4 Pedro, who released his album "The Gentleman" last year, is nominated for three categories: Best Male Artist from Central Africa, Best Lusophone Artist and Best Live Performance.
In the first category the Angolans Matias Damásio and Anselmo Ralph are also nominated. As for the category of Best Lusophone Artist, besides C4 Pedro, also Paulo Flores and Prodígio dispute the award, says the Jornal de Angola.
The Mobbers group was nominated for two categories: Best Male Rap Performance and Best African Group.
Edmázia Mayembe and Eva Rap Diva also appear on the list of nominees. Both are competing for the award for Best Female Artist in Central Africa.
Among the 27 categories that make up the awards, also appear the names of Miguel Buíla (Best Gospel Artist), Edgar Domingos (New Talent), the Evil DJ and Lutonda nominated for the category of Best African DJ and Neru Americano & Scro Que Cuia for the category of Best African Dancer.
Angola also has the nomination of Afonso Quintas, who competes in the category of Radio/TV Personality of the year.
This year marks the 7th edition of the Afrimma Awards, which aim to recognize and promote the biggest names in African music. The gala will be presented in a different format due to the covid-19, being broadcast live from Dallas in the United States of America.
