The contract, started in March 2015, was in charge of the Ministry of Public Works and Spatial Planning, with a cost of more than six billion kwanzas.
It comprises two lanes, extending 0.876 kilometers, with a width of seven meters in each direction and a central separator
The construction of the viaduct, which generated 250 jobs, has the main objective of improving the fluidity of car traffic and shortening distances for passers-by in the capital, says Angop.
The infrastructure was built on the unevenness of Avenida Hoji-Ya-Henda, where there is an intersection of the Luanda Railway, in order to guarantee road safety and put an end to interference between road and rail traffic.
Started in 2015 and with a forecast of completion of 24 months, the work suffered some constraints, both in the financial field and with negotiations for the expropriation of houses built along its route.
In addition to this viaduct, the ministry plans to build another 40 viaducts in the capital. The UGP-Samba / Futungo Viaduro is under construction.
