According to Luís Fernando, director general of the Petroleum Derivatives Regulatory Institute (IRDP), quoted by the Angola Press agency, the products imported during this period include diesel (59.6 percent), gasoline (25 percent), Jet A1 (6.7 percent), and lighting oil (0.9 percent).
Speaking at the meeting to review petroleum derivatives for the second quarter of 2025, he noted that Angola's installed onshore fuel storage capacity is 675,968 cubic meters.
Angola currently has 1,204 fuel stations spread across its 21 provinces. In April, May, and June, only 919 stations were in operation, with state-owned Sonangol leading the market.
During this period, the country sold a total volume of 1.2 million metric tons of fuel, representing a 7 percent decrease compared to the previous quarter, according to IRDP data.
