TAAG's commercial director did not give a specific date for the airline to return to 'tearing' the skies of Uíge and Zaire. Speaking to Jornal de Angola, the official only indicated that flights to these two provinces, as well as to the capital of the Republic of Congo, namely Brazzaville, would soon resume.

It should be noted that the announcement of the resumption of flights to these two provinces comes days after TAAG resumed flights to the province of Bié. It was last week that the airline resumed flights to this province, after flights had been suspended for around two years due to commercial and operational issues.

Thus, since last week, TAAG has been offering two weekly flights, on Tuesdays and Fridays, to Bié.

According to António Mutondo, as part of TAAG's commercial strategy of connecting the various points, the executive committee decided to resume flights to Bié, considering that the situations that led to the suspension of the connection have been overcome.

"The situations that prevented regular flights to the city of Cuito at the time have been overcome. During the shutdown, the company's executive board, taking into account the importance of this destination, corrected the commercial shortcomings that existed, and now we are back, with the aim of connecting the heart of Angola to the world", said the official, in statements to Jornal de Angola.

Alcida de Jesus Camateli, vice-governor of Bié for the Social Sector, highlighted that the airline's choice to prioritize Bié in commercial terms will contribute to the promotion of trade and tourism in the center of the country, and is an excellent opportunity for investors, both national and foreign, staying in the capital, to expand their businesses in the province.
