The Guimarães team, coached by César Peixoto, scored through striker Schettine, while the Luanda team, led by Portuguese coach Ricardo Chéu, scored through forward Azulão.

Holders of the Angolan championship and Cup, Petro de Luanda officially kick off the 2024/25 season on 1 September with the Angolan Super Cup against Bravos do Maquis. They are also currently completing their pre-season in Portugal, having already beaten Casa Pia (1-0), Vizela (2-1) and Freamunde (7-1), and lost to Leixões (1-0) and Marinhense (3-1).

According to an official source from the ‘canons’, for this similar match the Minho team showed up with less used players compared to those who guaranteed the victory over Arouca (3-1) on Sunday, for the second round of the championship, and will compete again next Sunday, in the visit to Sporting de Braga, in a match of the third round of the I Liga scheduled for 8:30 pm.
