According to the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), the criminal network controlled more than 400 online games, whose players were exclusively Brazilian, located in several cities in Brazil, and one game with only Nigerian players.
The suspects, using fake online profiles, committed several scams and defrauded players of thousands of reais, the SIC highlighted.
The operation was carried out by the Central Operations Directorate, the National Directorate for Combating Cybercrime and the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of this police body.
