Amândio Chaves said that the project was created with donations in mind for people and causes, such as non-governmental organizations or homes, that need help.
“Our purpose is to be a showcase for all these projects. It happens that people often have projects and don't know where to showcase them to have access to donations”, highlighted the founding partner, declaring that the platform will not grant financing.
According to Amândio Chaves, the platform, founded in 2023 by three young Angolans, will promote donation campaigns, giving them visibility, and finding people who want to help.
“The idea is to try to boost Angolan youth and creativity as much as possible”, he stressed, highlighting that they intend to support social projects, and also help in particular situations, in the case of people needing help, for example, for a surgical operation.
In addition to philanthropy, the project also aims to boost entrepreneurship, supporting young people, who after finishing university have projects and need financing, which banks reject due to the risks.
One of FundCube's co-founders, Carlos Saturnino, cited in the press release, also said that during the first year, the platform will operate with the donation model.
“This approach aims to establish FundCube’s presence in the market, provide clarifications about crowdfunding and cultivate a collaborative mentality,” said Carlos Saturnino, adding that in a second phase, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to establish connections with investors interested in supporting your ideas, causes and campaigns.
