"The Municipal Administration of Talatona, in partnership with the transport operator Huambo Expresso, after a previous study within the urban district of Talatona headquarters, then defined two lines or routes as a priority, to enter into circulation from the 1st of September public urban passenger transport", said the person in charge, quoted in a video made available by the Municipal Administration of Talatona.
According to Paciência Curinje, the buses will run on two different routes, one that will connect Belas Shopping to Rotunda da Fubu and another that will connect Belas Shopping and Mundo Verde. "We are talking about the routes that start from Belas Shopping (...) to Largo da Juventude or also known as Rotunda da Fubu and we are also talking about a second route that starts from Belas Shopping to Mundo Verde".
The municipal director reiterated that the means will be "already in circulation from the 1st of September with the aim of mitigating the difficulties" of the residents of Talatona and "several users of the various traffic generating centers".
Regarding timetables, Paciência Curinje indicated that the aforementioned transport "will be operating almost 24 hours a day". Thus, the transport will begin its activity at 5:30 am "with starting point Belas Shopping and its last trip will end at 11:30 pm", he added.
The official also informed that "these transports will not be subsidized, taking into account that they are small vehicles", that is, "mini-bus vehicles, with a capacity of approximately 22 to 25 passengers, properly air-conditioned". Thus, he added that the price of transport is set at "150 kwanzas for each trip".
Paciência Curinje also left an appeal to other transport operators: "We take advantage of the microphones to appeal to other partners, other operators, to join the Municipal Administration of Talatona, taking into account that there are still other lines, other routes, to be explored right here in the municipality of Talatona".
In the municipal administration's video, some public transport beneficiaries also gave their testimony. This is the case of Alirio Clarinho, a student, who considered that the "implementation of buses on this route through Bela Shopping somehow facilitates the process or journey of citizens".
"From Viana to here we spent 1500 kwanzas, now if they put in this public transport we can spend at least 700/800 kwanzas and it will really benefit the whole world because we really need this public transport", considered worker Conceição Felicino.
