INAPEM expects to reach 500 companies adhering to the 'Service Made in Angola' by the end of the year

João Nkosi, chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the National Institute for the Support of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), informed that the institute expects to reach 500 companies adhering to the 'Service Made in Angola', by December, adding that among the perspectives, with regard to articles, is the scope of the 1000 products to be entered by the 500 companies.

Speaking at the Ministry of Economy and Planning briefing, the official took stock of the current numbers: there are around 142 participating companies and approximately 556 products with the 'Made in Angola' stamp.

Cited by Angop, the PCA of INAPEM also informed that there are around 220 companies in the appraisal process due to the lack of required documentation and others for recently sending the documentation, assuring that in the coming days the institute will finalize these procedures still to be resolved, to reach more than 300 participating companies.

The official clarified that the duration of the accession process, in a normal situation, if the company meets the criteria of legitimacy, this could be consolidated in less than a week, writes Angop.

João Nkosi also took the opportunity to mention that commercial establishments have five months to adhere to the 'Made in Angola Seal', depending on measures to encourage the economy, such as the acquisition of national production, having also recalled that from next public entities are obliged to purchase 'Made in Angola' goods and services.

Among other initiatives, the PCA of INAPEM highlighted the intention of introducing a denunciation dispatch on the 'Service Made in Angola' website in order to enable adherents to express their concerns. "This information should be channeled to the National Directorate for the Business Environment for its mitigation, and should engage ambassadors and shopping centers as partners in the dissemination and enhancement of products with the Made in Angola seal", he added, quoted by Angop.

On the occasion, he also spoke of the participation in the first Economic Forum of the Democratic Republic of Congo-Angola, where approximately 40 companies marked their presence, most of which adhered to the 'Service Made in Angola' or are in the process of joining.

It should also be noted that, according to Angop, there are currently approximately 440 application requests to obtain the 'Service Made in Angola'.

It should be recalled that, last year, the first edition of Expo Feito em Angola took place, and the event may have a return scheduled for this year.
