According to a note from the ZEE, which VerAngola had access to, the Namibian delegation was received by the chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the ZEE, Manuel Francisco Pedro, and by the secretary for the Economy, Ivan Marques dos Santos.
"The main objective of the visit was to exchange experiences, highlighting Angola's initiatives to boost the country's economy", reads the note, which adds that "the ZEE plays a crucial role in this process, promoting economic diversification and stimulating the private business sector".
The visit began at the Investor Support Office, "where visitors explored the facilities through a guided tour", followed by participation in a "comprehensive presentation of potentialities, projects, opportunities and investment conditions" that ZEE Luanda- Bengo delivers.
Furthermore, according to the statement, the Namibian delegation also visited two factories located in the ZEE, namely Embalvidro (dedicated to the production of glass bottles) and Medvida (dedicated to the manufacture of hospital material).
"We are proud of Angola for being a member of SADC. What we witness here encourages all member countries of SADC to cease imports from other regions and start purchasing products from Angola, as we all benefit", said, on the occasion, Natangue Ithete, leader of the Namibian delegation.
