The decision was announced in a joint communiqué from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Ministry of Territory Administration, which informed that the weekly closing day of the street market is transferred to Wednesday, taking into account the point tolerance in the national territory in the the 24th of August and with a view to ensuring massive participation by the population.
The decision also applies to street and street vending.
However, on August 24, commercial surfaces must grant the necessary exemption to their employees so that they can exercise their right to vote, even if they work in shifts.
Tuesday will be a day of reflection and, on Wednesday, more than 14 million Angolans will be called to choose a new President of the Republic and new representatives in the National Assembly.
