For the vice-president of the Humanist Party of Angola (PHA), led by Bela Malaquias, who managed to elect two deputies in his debut, the data, although provisional, satisfy the humanists.

"Our projection is positive, because of the place we are in, despite being provisional, but we hope that the definitive results will have a more positive response than that, those who voted for the PHA are satisfied with the place we are in", said Fernando Diniz.

Another newcomer, the National Party for Justice in Angola (P-Njango), which was unable to elect deputies, according to the latest provisional results released, with President Dinho Chingunji expressing himself as "totally disappointed", especially for the work carried out in the last 15 days.

"We traveled almost all over the country and we found a lot of sympathy and, therefore, our initial projections of getting between 8 and 32 deputies, but these are elections and what we have to do now is accept the results and work", he said.

The Broad Convergence for the Salvation of Angola – Electoral Coalition (CASA-CE), which in the last legislature had 16 deputies in the National Assembly, did not elect deputies in these fifth elections.

The presidential college of this coalition, supported by five political parties, rejects the results, considering that there were "serious irregularities" in the process, as stated by its vice-president, Cesinanda Xavier.

In a press conference, the head of the coalition deplored the results released by the CNE, expressing her conviction that they did "a job that does not match these results".

For the Social Renovation Party (PRS), which in the light of the provisional results occupies the third position in the national circle with 1.13 percent of the votes and elected two deputies, its president and candidate, Benedito Daniel, classifies them as "unreal ", above all for the mobilization that the party made for the country.

"We hope that these provisional results will later be confirmed with the reality of the summary minutes that we have, so that these elections are considered free and fair", stressed the leader of the social renovators.

The Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) won Angola's general elections with 51.07 percent, followed by the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA) with 44.05 percent of the votes, according to the CNE, when 97.3 percent of polling stations were scrutinized.

The provisional results were released on Thursday night by CNE spokesman Lucas Quilundo, at a time when 97.3 percent of polling stations were being scrutinized, so there should be no substantial changes, he said.

The MPLA elects 124 deputies and UNITA holds 90 parliamentary seats.

The historic National Front for the Liberation of Angola (FNLA), the PRS and the debutant PHA, the only one led by a woman, elect two deputies each and the CASA-CE coalition no longer has parliamentary representation.

The MPLA said that it "has an absolute majority sufficient to govern peacefully" with the advantage it takes in the provisional results of Wednesday's elections, attributing its defeat by UNITA, in Luanda, to "the abstention of its militant base".

"It is an observation, but even so, it must be said that the MPLA wins with an absolute majority sufficient to peacefully govern the next five years, I believe that the provisional results will not be able to change much," said the secretary for Information from the MPLA Political Bureau, Rui Falcão.

UNITA appealed to its supporters for calm, but said it already had data from the electoral records that could give it a victory in the general elections.

After the CNE indicated that the MPLA has an absolute majority, according to preliminary data from the summary minutes that include the votes of each of the polling stations, UNITA leader Ruben Sicato stated that the party is taking a position " responsible" and must count the minutes and be sure before claiming victory.
