PR received portuguese Paulo Portas and José Luís Arnaut. Election process at the heart of the conversation

The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, received, this Tuesday, the portuguese Paulo Portas and José Luís Arnaut, who are in Angola as election observers. Matters related to the electoral process were at the center of the meeting.

According to a brief note from the Presidency, to which VerAngola had access, Paulo Portas, speaking at the end of the audience, said he believed in the future of Angola, with the completion of these fifth elections.

In turn, José Luís Arnaut considered that "there are conditions for everything to run normally".

According to Angop, still this Tuesday, the two portuguese will establish dialogue with leaders of political institutions competing in the election.

It is recalled that the elections take place this Wednesday, August 24th, where more than 14 million Angolans will be called to the polls to elect a new President and representatives in the National Assembly.
