Cabinda: TAAG acknowledges difficulties and promises to improve ticket sales process

TAAG acknowledged the existence of difficulties in selling tickets for flights between Cabinda and Luanda, and left the promise that it is committed to reduce, in the coming days, the constraints that have been registered in the process.

"TAAG - Angolan Airlines - guarantees to be committed to reducing in the coming days the constraints caused to customers linked to the marketing of tickets for flights Cabinda-Luanda and Luanda-Cabinda," the company said in a statement issued Thursday.

The airline said that the "shortage in the availability of flights from Luanda-Cabinda-Luanda is beyond their control and is limited to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic of covid-19, despite all the conditions of operability.

He reinforces that the fact that passengers are obliged to present a negative test for covid-19, done 72 hours before boarding, has caused "some operational adjustments to the company and the airports, and logistical adjustments to the health authorities.

It recognizes that there is "high pressure regarding the management of flights to this stopover, due to the asymmetries between demand and supply, and the geographical discontinuity of the province," but assures that it has enough crew and fleet to respond to its operations to and from Cabinda.

TAAG also points out that it is the "only company that has been meeting this demand," even with operations conditioned by biosecurity measures.

In the statement, the airline stresses that its priority is to respect biosecurity measures and operate in total security.

The company concludes by reaffirming its commitment to, in a short period of time, return to operational normality, which was affected by the pandemic.
