Cement is the most exported by Angola and earns 13 million dollars

In the first half of this year, the country raised 13.2 million from cement, which ranks first in the list of the six most exported products under the Program to Support Production, Export Diversification and Import Substitution (PRODESI).

According to the biweekly briefing report of the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP), beer exports ranked second with a gain of 6.1 million dollars, followed by glass packaging with 2.6 million, and bananas with 2.3 million , juices and soft drinks 2.2 million and sugar with 1.7 million, totaling 28.4 million dollars.

The most imported product was chicken meat with an expense of US$124.2 million, followed by rice with US$103.5 million, cooking oil from soybeans with US$74.3 million, sugar with US$ 67.5 million and milk with 53.2 million, totaling 487.9 million dollars.

The MEP report also indicates that in the week of 26 to 30 July this year, 76 new requests for financing were received by commercial banks working with PRODESI.

The MEP continued the meetings around the Action Plan for the Improvement of the Business Environment, where the progress in the fulfillment of the programmed tasks in several domains was "remarkable", with special emphasis on the execution of contracts. Refers to a statement sent to VerAngola.

The Secretary of State for the Economy, accompanied by officials from the Angolan Active Venture Capital Fund (FACRA), visited the facilities of the Laboratory of the agricultural project "Prosperangola".

This project, implemented by the CPLP Business Confederation in partnership with the Angola Industrial Association (AIA), aims to encourage economic activity in rural areas, with young people, women and former combatants and veterans of the country as beneficiaries.

At the end of the visit, they concluded that it was necessary to design a support program for this project, with the involvement of the National Directorate for Economy, Competitiveness and Innovation of the MEP and the National Institute of Support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM).
