Council of the Republic with five new councilors

The Council of the Republic has five new councilors. The new members were appointed by the head of state because there is a "need to adjust the composition" of the council, due to the constitutional change.

According to a note published on the government's Facebook page, Alfeo Vinevala Sachiquepa, Deolinda Dorcas Zola da Graça Paulo Teca, Fernanda Renée Ulombe Samuel, Filipe Silvino de Pina Zau and Suzana Deolinda Sousa Mendes Viriato were appointed as councilors.

According to the statement, this designation is due to the fact that there is "need to adjust the composition of the Council of the Republic with five more councilors, as a result of the constitutional change operated by Law number 18/21, August 16 - Constitutional Revision Law".
The vice-president, the president of the National Assembly, the president of the Constitutional Court, the attorney-general of the Republic, and the presidents of the parties and coalitions represented in the National Assembly, among other guests, are part of the President's advisory council.
