Besides helping with the daily production of eggs, Adailson Nogueira, general manager of the group, indicated that the money financed by Prodesi is also being used to increase the production of chickens. The objective, according to the responsible, is to increase from one ton to three tons quarterly.
Besides that, in declarations to Angop, Adailson Nogueira indicated that the funds are also being applied in the implementation of a ration factory for poultry and pigs, which starts to operate this month.
"The production of eggs and chickens has not been reached yet, but the goal is to achieve it by the end of the year," the official told Angop.
The project has the capacity to produce 28,800 per day and 28,000 chickens monthly. Although these numbers have not been reached yet, the responsible foresees that, according to the investments that are being made, these goals can be reached next year.
Among the main obstacles is the acquisition of raw material to make feed: "We are acquiring the raw material locally, from Luanda. The cost of feed at the moment is at 520 to 530 kwanzas per kilogram, compared to 250 to 300 kwanzas in 2019."
The farm currently employs 52 people, of which 15 are direct jobs.
