Third edition of Expo-Cabinda starts next week with 150 exhibitors

The 3rd edition of Expo-Cabinda, which starts on 11 July, will feature the participation of 150 exhibitors. According to the provincial government of Cabinda, both exhibitors and delegations from the municipalities of Cabinda and from several provinces of the country, as well as from Portugal, the Republic of Congo, Brazil, Russia, Belgium and Canada will participate in the event.

Under the motto "Cabinda, a land to live and invest", this event, considered the largest economic and business event in the province, will take place between 11 and 14 July at the Tafe Municipal Stadium.

According to a statement from the provincial government of Cabinda, to which VerAngola had access, the expo "will feature 150 exhibitors from the oil and gas, agriculture, machinery and equipment, banking, insurance, renewable energy, tourism, micro, small and large companies sectors".

"The fair will feature exhibitors and delegations from the 10 municipalities in the province, from several provinces in the country, as well as from the Republic of Congo, Portugal, Brazil, Russia, Belgium and Canada", the statement reads.

Furthermore, the event, which aims to boost the "province's business community, foster partnerships, promote trade and attract investment", also includes "150 exhibition stands, three business forums with strategic themes and highlights such as the 'Expo for Women' section, the 'Promising Young People' section, a day dedicated to families, and an awards gala for participants".

Still on the subject of participation in this fair organised by the Cabinda government, in collaboration with RI-Janeth and ANJE/Cabinda, the executive director of the Expo-Cabinda 2025 project, Janeth Quiosa, quoted by Angop, said that the event will bring together more than 40 companies, both national and foreign.

Regarding the preparations, the official announced that a vessel with materials and various equipment (such as tents and other materials to set up the stands) from the provinces of Luanda, Zaire, Uíge, Bengo, Cuanza Sul and Lundas Norte and Sul, which will be at the expo, will arrive at the region's port in the next few days.

According to Angop, at an international level, Zambia, Brazil, Namibia, China, Portugal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Australia and Mozambique are the countries that will be represented at the event.

Motocross race held as part of Expo-Cabinda 2025

A motocross race was held on Sunday as part of Expo-Cabinda 2025. According to a statement from the government of Cabinda, to which VerAngola had access, the race was won by Dilan, a rider from Ponta-Negra (Republic of Congo).

The race took place on the João Tomé track and was attended by the provincial governor, Suzana Abreu.

"Second and third places were won by riders Blandou and Dangeur, both from Congo Brazzaville, while Guimas Isaías (Cabinda) was awarded the revelation prize", reads the note, which adds that 13 riders participated in the event, four of whom were from Cabinda and nine from Ponta-Negra.

"At the closing ceremony, the governor highlighted motocross as a symbol of cultural and sporting exchange in the context of Expo-Cabinda, which aims to strengthen economic diplomacy and enhance the province's potential," the statement said.
