According to the president of FAF, Artur de Almeida e Silva, this money is intended to reduce the impact caused by the covid-19 pandemic in sport.

Quoted by the newspaper Jornal de Angola, the responsible made it known that the federation will receive, already this month, one million dollars. "The first funds are starting to be received this month. Let's hope that by the end of the month we can have this money. Those who receive the money and are not accountable will be penalized by the time they receive the second slice," he said.

The remaining $500,000 will not enter the safes of the FAF until January 2021. As for the money made available by the CAF, worth 300,000 dollars, Artur de Almeida said it will be allocated over the course of this year.

Of the amount allocated this year, 5,000 dollars will be used to purchase biosecurity equipment and technical means for the FAF.

With this support, each Girabola club will receive 16 thousand dollars. The clubs in the second division will receive 10 thousand dollars and the provincial associations will receive 12 thousand dollars each. 90 thousand dollars are also reserved for the main selection.

The funds will be made available to the men's and youth teams, women's football, senior, junior and youth championships, clubs, provincial and class associations and training schools.
