In the appeal, the ruler asked the portuguese to invest in the "creation of a hospital unit of differentiated services" that will serve the Lundas.

"There are several priority social projects to be developed in the provinces of Lunda Norte and Lunda Sul, especially in the areas of health and training, and also in agro-industry," the ruler began by saying in an interview with the newspaper Jornal Económico.

"Among the projects in the area of health, we highlight the following for the region of Northeast Angola (in the provinces of Lunda Norte, Lunda Sul and Moxico) which is characterized as a region rich in mineral resources, particularly diamonds. The main diamond mining projects, whether alluvial or quimberlite, are to be found in the North and South Lundas", he added.

In addition to creating the hospital, Diamantino Azevedo challenged the portuguese to invest in projects related to technical training and agro-industry.

The holder of the Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas portfolio also addressed the major reform that is being made in the sector: by 2025 the country will bid for 50 new oil blocks, it also has plans to build three new refineries (Cabinda, Soyo and Lobito) and renovate the Luanda refinery with the aim of increasing gasoline production and implementing a petrochemical industry.

Diamantino Azevedo took the opportunity to speak about the creation of the Diamond Exchange, announced in June this year. This exchange will serve to increase the production and cutting of diamonds in the country.
