The amendments were adopted this Wednesday at the 8th ordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers. According to a statement issued at the end of the meeting, cited by Angop, the integration of the Inspecção Geral de Finanças into the IGAE will be made within one year.
According to the note, this change will allow the Executive to reduce the number of deputy inspectors-general from three to two and broaden the basis of action of that body.
The Council of Ministers also approved the Special Career Remuneration Statute of the General Inspectorate of State Administration and the new organic statutes of the ministries of Finance, Foreign Affairs and Health.
