The launch of the new routes, carried out this Tuesday by the provincial government of Benguela, aims to "minimize the flow of passengers who travel to the interior of the province to carry out their daily tasks", informed the government of Benguela, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
The newly opened routes are "run by operators Transpinto, Transpacifico and Engesab Lda", and cover the municipalities of Ganda, Cubal, Caimbambo, Chongoroi, Bocoio and Balombo.
The act, which was carried out by the Transport and Urban Mobility Office, was witnessed by the deputy governor for Technical Services and Infrastructures, Adilson Gonçalves.
On the occasion, Adilson Gonçalves stated that the provincial government will continue to "work with the Ministry of Transport to reinforce the bus transport fleet in the province, to expand the intercity route".
He also highlighted that the "Benguela, Catumbela, Baía Farta and Lobito routes have not been forgotten, as they are those with the greatest flow of people and whenever more buses are available, both coastal and inland routes will always benefit ", reads the statement.
He also took the opportunity to appeal to citizens to take care of the buses available, as they are public facilities that should "benefit everyone and their vandalization leads to criminal consequences".
