According to a statement, cited by Jornal de Angola, one of the accepted proposals was submitted by the consortium composed of Corporacion América Airports, S.A (CAAP), MotaEngil Engenharia e Construção, S.A. and BestFly, Lda.

The consortium made up of China National AeroTechnology International Engineering Corporation (CAIEC) and Yunnan Airport Group Co., Ltd. was responsible for presenting the other proposal.

An evaluation process now follows, to later move on to the negotiation stage, says the ministry.

"The aforementioned proposals will be subjected to a detailed evaluation process, followed by a negotiation phase, with a view to improving the accepted proposals", indicates the guardianship, cited by Jornal de Angola.

According to the guardianship, after these phases are completed, the contracting public entity will make the final concession decision.

Remember that in March this year, the ministry said that there were four international companies interested in managing the aforementioned airport.

The public tender was launched on November 17, 2023, in the same month that the airport was opened. The inauguration took place on November 10th last year and was carried out by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
