The construction of what will be seen as a large commercial complex is expected to last two years and will be carried out in the former industrial area of São Pedro, on the outskirts of Huambo.
The project will have 11 buildings, with 390 stores, a front square, as well as an apartment complex at the back, writes Angop.
In addition, the development will also include areas to sell food, decoration materials and real estate, supermarkets, banks, commercial offices, restaurants, entertainment and leisure services, among others.
Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony, Zang Bin considered that the construction of this commercial space highlights the commitment of the governments of China and Angola to promoting mutual investment.
Quoted by Angop, the ambassador reiterated that the two countries continue to collaborate in a close and friendly manner, and in Huambo they have a solid partnership in the field of education, at a time when they are seeking to deepen the infrastructure sector with CR20, Chinese state-owned Chinese company.
He also promised that he will do everything possible to encourage other companies in his country to invest in Huambo, a region with many opportunities, just as Huamhua Investment did.
Also speaking on the occasion was the vice-governor who expressed his satisfaction at witnessing a significant moment for investors and the local population.
He also said that it is "always comforting to realize that at this stage of the economy" there are still investors who are capable of "bringing investments of this type".
