This was the first time in the history of the competition that a team scored five goals in the final.

Angola raised this trophy again, after having already won it in 1999, 2001 and 2004.

At the end of the game, coach Pedro Gonçalves expressed pride in returning the title to the Angolans: "It was, indeed, a great result, it was historic, that's why I'm so proud of the team, my boys and all of football in Angola. It's hard for me to express what I'm feeling".

"Namibia has a great team and their coach has done a great job for this team. We are happy with the objective achieved", highlighted the Portuguese.

Also after the final, defender Vidinho was happy with the victory, dedicating the victory to the Angolans.

"We dedicate this victory to our people, as we had not won this trophy for a long time and, therefore, we thank all Angolans for their support and it is to them that we want to present the trophy, and with them celebrate the triumph achieved", he highlighted.

On the opposite side, the Namibian coach, Collin Benjamin, was surprised by the result.

"I didn't expect this result, because it wasn't the game we planned, but still, I feel very proud of my boys. When we conceded the first two goals, fatigue started to take over us and we made fatal mistakes, but now we have to lift your head and keep walking", lamented the coach.

With its fourth title, Angola succeeded Zambia in the history of the competition, which holds the record for victories, with seven, one more than Zimbabwe and two more than South Africa, while Namibia has one trophy.
