In addition to this agreement, two memorandums of understanding were signed in the Treaty Room of the Presidential Palace, where the President of Timor-Leste, José Ramos-Horta, arrived on Monday morning on a three-day official visit.
One of the memorandums relates to bilateral political consultations and the other involves the Venâncio de Moura diplomatic academy (Angola) and the Center for Diplomatic Studies (Timor-Leste).
Ramos-Horta arrived at the Presidential Palace, where he was received with military honors, at 11 am, after visiting the Memorial Dr. António Agostinho Neto, where he laid a wreath of flowers on the sarcophagus of the country's first President.
Before signing the agreements, the Timorese President held a private meeting with his Angolan counterpart, João Lourenço.
In the afternoon, he attended an extraordinary plenary session at the National Assembly, where he was received by the president, Carolina Cerqueira, and then left for a courtesy meeting with the vice-president, Esperança da Costa.
On Tuesday, the program continues with visits to the Academy of Police Sciences and the Venâncio de Moura Diplomatic Academy, where you will attend a lecture.
The presidential visit ends on Wednesday with the official farewell between the two heads of state, at the Presidential Palace, returning that same day to Timor-Leste.
Ramos-Horta is in Angola after making a state visit to Mozambique between Thursday and Sunday.
