According to a statement from Catoca to which VerAngola had access, Benedito Manuel distinguished himself for his work "in favor of the development of the mining industry in Africa", through the adoption of best international practices, as well as the social responsibility program of Sociedade Mineira of Catoca, which has been impacting the lives of thousands of families of direct and indirect workers.
At this Wednesday's ceremony, the award was presented by the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, Philip Davi. In his acceptance speech, the Angolan thanked not only God and his family, but also the collective of workers at Sociedade Mineira de Catoca, for the work that has been carried out and all the contributions to the development of Angola, the continent and the world in general.
“My message is that we continue to believe in and promote the development of African professionals, because we have very capable people in our countries, who, with the right training and work opportunities, show us that it is possible for us, Africans, to to develop our industry, in particular, and the economy in general”, said Benedito Paulo Manuel, adding special thanks to the support he has received from regulatory bodies, namely Endiama and the Government.
