The authority informs, in a statement to which VerAngola had access, that the minister's visit to Zaire and Cabinda is scheduled for the 30th and 31st of July.
In Soyo (Zaire), the government official, accompanied by the president of the Board of Directors (PCA) of Sonangol, Sebastião Martins, and the president of Afreximbank, Benedict Oramah, will visit the Falcão – 2 and Amufert projects.
The agenda also foresees that the minister will lay the first stone for the construction of the headquarters of the national oil company in that city.
"In Cabinda, Diamantino Azevedo will hold a working meeting with Governor Suzana Abreu and the press", the statement said.
On the morning of July 31st, still in the province of Cabinda, "in the company of the Minister of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security, Teresa Rodrigues Dias, the governor will proceed with the laying of the first stone for the construction of Cinfotec/Cabinda and the launch of the first stone for the construction of Sonangol's headquarters in that city", says the guardianship.
It should be noted that the flagship oil company ended the 2023 financial year with profits. According to Sonangol's financial report, released by the oil company, the company had a consolidated net profit of more than 930 billion kwanzas last year.
Sonangol says that it closed 2023 with a turnover of more than seven billion kwanzas and a consolidated EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) of more than two billion kwanzas.
Sonangol at FILDA with stand 100 percent powered by solar energy
The presence of the national oil company at the 39th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA) surprised everyone and everything, given that its stand is completely powered by solar energy.
"The company is represented by 11 business units, in a 192 square meter stand, entirely powered by solar energy", points out Sonangol, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
"I liked what I saw and I'm impressed, we show here our entire range of activities developed, with great diversity and well linked to the themes of social responsibility and energy transition. Sonangol is present", said the CEO of the flag oil company, Gaspar Martins.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rui Miguêns, who was one of the personalities who visited the fair on its first day, said that Sonangol "continues to be an example".
"We are grateful to Sonangol, which continues to be an example, both in terms of our economic activity and in this new dimension that is clean energy. An important commitment and we will certainly have it at the forefront of this process", he pointed out.
While the Secretary of State for Oil and Gas, José Barroso, said that Sonangol "is very well represented".
"We are in the 39th edition of FILDA and as always Sonangol is very well represented. The stand, in addition to its ergonomic and beautiful appearance, has its value because it shows in a small space all of Sonangol's services and, therefore, we are once again very pleased with what we saw", he said, quoted in the statement.
