The information was provided, according to Jornal de Angola, on Tuesday, in a meeting with leaders of companies in the sector, under the theme "Objectives, Goals, Actions and Main Projects of the Sector Defined in the National Development Plan (PDN 2023-2027 )".
Diamantino Azevedo said that he has received constant requests from foreign companies interested in exploring this mineral used in the manufacture of solar panels for the production of photovoltaic energy.
The official also said that the existence of commercial quartz reserves "constitutes a guarantee for the country to increase sources of revenue", but argued that the new economic paradigm "must focus on the transformation of raw materials and export of refined products towards to promote employment and maximize profits".
