According to the government of Bié province, upon arriving in the province, Baptista Borges was received at Joaquim Kapango Airport by the provincial governor, Pereira Alfredo, and members of the provincial government.
Valued at more than 17 million dollars (more than 16 million euros), the infrastructure, whose construction is part of the Integrated Municipal Intervention Program (PIIM), has "three generators with the capacity to produce 1.8 megawatts that will allow more than a thousand home connections", says the provincial government, in a statement, to which VerAngola had access.
It is currently operating "synchronized with the two Prodel thermal generator sets".
According to the municipal administrator, Deolinda Belvina Gonçalves, Camacupa went from 1500 consumers "who benefited not on a regular basis" to more than 2000 consumers.
Quoted in the statement, the administrator expressed happiness with the delivery of the work, this Tuesday, to benefit the population.
The project also includes the construction of a 30 kV line and medium and low voltage networks, as well as public lighting for the municipality, according to Jornal de Angola, which adds that the works phase enabled the creation of approximately fifty direct jobs.
