Joel Leonardo, who spoke, in Lisbon, at the closing ceremony of the special training course aimed at Angolan judicial magistrates, considered that his training will contribute greatly to improving the quality of the progress of judicial processes and files in the country.
"The learning that the future magistrates acquired over the last quarter that they stayed here strengthens the reinforcement of the legal cooperation in force for several years, between our two countries, both bilaterally and at the level of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP)", he said.
At least twenty new Angolan judicial magistrates completed a three-month training cycle at the Center for Judicial Studies (CEJ) in Portugal.
The presiding judge of the TS and also president of the Superior Council of the Judiciary also expressed gratitude for the partnership with the CEJ, promising to continue sending other magistrates to Portugal for special initial training courses.
According to Joel Leonardo, bilateral cooperation in this field does not nullify the important reserve role between Angola and Portugal at the level of the CPLP platform, "where we remain firmly engaged".
"To achieve our common objectives, within the framework of the fraternal judicial dialogue that exists with our brothers from Mozambique, Cape Verde, São Tomé and Príncipe, Guinea-Bissau and Timor-Leste", concluded the judge.
