This Wednesday, AIPEX signed a total of five investment contracts valued at 330.8 million dollars, including with Casais Angola for the construction of infrastructure in Luanda and Lobito.
Thus, the Portuguese group Casais Angola Engenharia e Construção, S.A, within the scope of the contract signed with AIPEX, will invest a total of 45.3 million dollars between the cities of Luanda and Lobito, expected to create 1600 jobs.
According to a statement from AIPEX, a project for the management, maintenance and commercial operation of the Multipurpose Container and General Cargo Terminal at the Port of Lobito, a French investment of 188 million dollars (173 million euros), is also among the contracts signed.
The Esplendor Florestal project, investment of external capital for the planting, exploitation and transformation of logs into wood, which will be implemented in the provinces of Benguela and Huambo, an industrial project for the manufacture of furniture in Luanda and another for silicon production, of Chinese origin, to be implemented in Bengo, complete the contracts initialed this Wednesday.
The ceremony, which took place at the headquarters of the private investment agency, in Luanda, was attended by the Minister of Transport, Ricardo de Abreu.
