Centrooptico invests 700 million kwanzas and opens stores in Namibe and Sumbe

Centrooptico recently opened two new stores, with a total investment of 700 million kwanzas. Located in Namibe and Sumbe, the stores created a total of 24 jobs.

Each establishment generated 12 jobs, with the 24 workers, who were recruited locally, having 50 hours of theoretical training and a month of practical training in the store, according to a statement sent to VerAngola.

The stores were inaugurated in the space of four days: the Sumbe store opened its doors this Monday (July 17), "with the presence of administrator Amyn Habib, CEO João Murteiro and Emília Camuhoto, vice-governor for the Sector Political, Social and Economic, representing the provincial government", while the space in Namibe was inaugurated last Friday, "in the presence of the governor of Namibe, Augusto Archer de Sousa Mangueira, Amyn Habib and João Murteiro, as well as by ambassadors Mell Chaves and Sérgio Rodrigues".

According to Amyn Habib, director of Centrooptico, "the expansion strategy of the Centrooptico store network is part" of the mission of "democratizing access to visual and hearing health care for the Angolan population, ensuring easier access to appointments and all the range of complementary and differentiating services that customers have at their disposal".

"The Centrooptico spaces are differentiators and a reference in the provision of visual health care. We intend to continue to expand the brand and provide innovative products and services throughout the territory, and soon we will reach more provinces, namely Bié, Cunene, Moxico and Malanje," said Amyn Habib, quoted in the statement.

The CEO of Centrooptico, João Murteiro, quoted in the note, said that the increase in the number of stores, both in provinces where the company is already present, but mainly in new provinces, aims to "facilitate access to visual health care in communities where they are insufficient or even non-existent", without forgetting the "impact in terms of the creation of new jobs".

"Another of our missions is to create qualified employment in Angola. In this sense, and because the training of our employees cannot be neglected, we develop and ensure tailor-made programs and training, in response to the needs of the function and the characteristics of the employees. All our professionals undergo a mandatory training process, in order to prepare excellent teams and guarantee the highest levels of service", he added.

"The new stores are located at Shoprite do Sumbe and Shoprite do Namibe, both with a space of more than 200 square meters", says the statement, adding that the two establishments have an area for displaying frames, diagnostic tests, two clinical offices and a laboratory, providing services such as optometry and ophthalmology consultations.

Both stores are open from Monday to Saturday, between 8 am and 6 pm.
