Lourenço praised the "extraordinary trajectory" of the United States, a country that since its Declaration of Independence, 247 years ago this Tuesday, "has become an economic, financial, scientific, technological and cultural reference".
"I take advantage of this important date to express the desire that the Republic of Angola and the United States of America continue on the current path of deepening bilateral relations, based on the recognition of their reciprocal interests and mutual respect", wrote the head of state.
João Lourenço concluded by expressing his conviction that the two countries will continue to develop "prosperous relations with beneficial results" for their respective economies.
