Using his Facebook page, the President of the Republic refers that the Lobito Corridor concerns a "set of infrastructures" that will "accelerate the commercial transactions of neighboring countries with the world".

"Today is a memorable day for Angola, as it opens its doors to regional integration through the Lobito Corridor, a set of infrastructures that will speed up commercial transactions between neighboring countries and the world", reads the publication.

João Lourenço also considers that "with the Benguela Railway and the Port of Lobito serving as a regional hub, especially for Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, more jobs for youth and more income for the country".

It should be recalled that the head of state is in Benguela, where he will mark the beginning of the Lobito Corridor railway concession, in an act to which his counterparts from Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo will join.
