ANPG snatches 'Golden Lion' from the 38th edition of FILDA, which had around 75,000 visitors

The Luanda International Fair (FILDA) awarded 'lions' again, with the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG) winning the 'Golden Lion' of this year's edition.

In the list of winners, according to Angop, there are also names such as BIC (category of 'Best Brand Activation'), Portugal (category of 'Best International Participation') and Standard Bank (category of 'Best Banking and Financial Services').

Sonangol, TCG and Unitel were also distinguished, winning the awards for 'Best Participation in Oil and Gas', 'Best Participation in Automobiles' and 'Best Participation in Telecommunications and Information Technologies', respectively.

In addition, refers Angop, Sonangol won yet another title, in the category of 'Best Participation in Sustainability, Environment and Safety at Work'.

The statuette for 'Best Participation in Transport and Logistics' went to the Port of Lobito, while Hipermáquinas and Grupo Carrinho won the categories of 'Best Participation in Machinery and Equipment' and 'Best Participation in Industry', respectively.

According to Angop, Gilda Gil ('Best Female Entrepreneur Participation'), EMIS ('Best Digital Economy Participation'), General Tax Administration ('Best Entity and Public Companies Participation'), INSS ('Best Public Utility Services Participation') and Guangde ('Best Commerce and Services Participation') also stood out.

The list of winners also includes the names of EAL, which won the category of 'Best Graphic Industry Packaging, Paper and Cardboard'; from Filomena Farm, which won the 'Best Participation Food and Beverage'; of Omatapalo, which was awarded the prize for 'Best Participation in Civil Construction and Public Works', writes Angop.

Also noteworthy are TPA, Sanlam, Casa Nova, STF Angola, Probeauty and Anglobal, in the categories of 'Best Press Coverage', 'Best Insurance Participation', 'Best Participation Made in Angola', 'Best Agriculture and Fisheries Participation', 'Best Cosmetic and Health Participation' and 'Best Energy and Water Participation', respectively.

On the occasion, 11 honorable mentions were also awarded to sponsors: ANPG, Sanlam, Sonangol, Etu Energias, Paratus, Credit Guarantee Fund, Sonil, Huawei, Unitel, Africell and Grupo Carrinho, writes Angop.

Mário Caetano João, Minister of Economy and Planning, said that the event was held due to partnerships "which make the government not think that it is on the journey alone, but with the private sector and the diaspora". Cited by Angop, he also highlighted the fact that there was no space and several companies were left out, mentioning the need to create an area so that "all companies in FILDA can get to know each other".

Among other aspects, he also envisaged for next year's event that the participation grows: "Above all we want to change the structures, because we exploit the existing structures to the maximum, but we have already reached a period of exhaustion", he indicated, quoted by Angop.

It should be noted that during the five days of the event, around 75 thousand people passed through the FILDA enclosure. So, after all, the fair received approximately 15,000 visitors per day.

According to Angop, these are provisional figures for the organization of the event.

The 38th edition of FILDA took place between the 18th and 22nd of July, in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), with more than 1000 exhibitors.
