The chairman of the board of directors of the Arena group, Bruno Albernaz, admits that next year's edition could be held in a new space to overcome this constraint.

This year, the 38th edition of Filda, which takes place between the 18th and the 22nd of July, will have 1202 exhibitors, almost twice as many as last year, of which 128 are international.

"Direct and indirect participation has doubled and the only reason is that it does not grow anymore because we have nowhere to place more companies. It is the first time that we have reached the maximum capacity of this space", the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), where the event has been held since 2018, highlighted Bruno Albernaz.

For now, 43 companies are on the waiting list.

The official, who was speaking at a press conference on preparations for the fair, highlighted the growth of the industry sector, "in a transversal way", hoping that the increase in participation would also translate into growth in turnover.

This year, the organization managed to free up more areas for 'stands', but Bruno Albernaz underlined that there is "a clear project" to build a definitive pavilion for events, which can also host international level initiatives.

"We don't have a place to host these events", said the person in charge, who hopes to be able to announce the future edition of Filda, in 2024, in the new facilities.

"Otherwise we will improve and fight for a space in better conditions", he guaranteed.

This year, various countries with official missions make their debut at Filda, including the United States of America, Indonesia and the Czech Republic, while Brazil also participates collectively with its business association.

In terms of countries, Italy will have the highest international participation, followed by Portugal.
