"We are talking about 200 and something million kwanzas", said Carlos Calas, PCA of C Calas Angola, the company co-organizing the event, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).
According to a statement from the Provincial Government of Lunda Norte, which VerAngola had access to, the official noted that the event "exceeded expectations, having a positive balance, judging by the participation of exhibitors and the volume of business".
In turn, Frederico Inungo Barroso, vice-governor for the political, social and economic sector, made "a positive assessment of the five days of the fair, stressing that the province of Lunda Norte has open doors for national and foreign investors, who want to contribute to its development", reads the statement.
On the occasion, he also encouraged "for the next edition, the presence of exhibitors from the provinces of Cuanza Norte, Uíge, Malanje, Cabinda, Luanda and Lunda Sul who successfully participated in this first edition of Expo-Dundo".
According to a communiqué from the provincial government, the municipality of Chitato "was the big winner" of this edition of the event, which had the aim of "sharing experiences at various levels, for five days and was sponsored by Endiama", with the participation of several exhibitors and traders.
